Richmond is the home to The Georgian Theatre Royal, the oldest working theatre in the UK.
The annual 'Richmond Live' is a free outdoor festival with a host of local bands and some well known names spanning Friday and Saturday in the 1st weekend of August.
We also have several restaurants including Indian, Cantonese, Thai, Tapas, Italian to name just a few.
Richmond also has several pubs, there are fourteen around the market place, so we're spoilt for choice when it comes to those after work drinks!

outdoors

There are a huge amount of outdoor activities on our doorstep.
The Yorkshire Dales National Park is just on the outskirts of town. The park offers a range of walks from the short gentle strolls along the river Swale to the epics such as the Coast to Coast or the Pennine Way.
There are a good set of Mountain Bike routes around the Dales and some epic road bike routes with Buttertubs Pass, Tan Hill and Fleet Moss within reach. Additionally there is a banked grass track velodrome in Richmond dating back to 1892.
