About the role
thecitysecret has an opening for an experienced Senior Developer to join a well-established Software Engineering team working with a Tier One Investment bank. This is a great opportunity to be involved in large projects for an International client whilst having the benefit of working for a small company.
The successful candidate will work on a product lifecycle management control and auditing application which deals with the workflow of a complex trading product.
This role is based at our Richmond (North Yorkshire) office and only very occasional visits to the client's site are required.
The successful applicant will be working on distributed systems on Linux and windows and must be able to demonstrate excellent skills in Java (experience of Scala and/or C# would be beneficial).
- Working alongside a development team to design and implement software solutions in Scala, Java and occasional C#.
- Working directly with the trading desk
- Deploying solutions in a highly-distributed Linux plant
- Providing level 3 support
As the role involves working closely with a team in Birmingham and remotely with teams in a number of locations worldwide the ideal applicant must have excellent communication skills.
Previous experience within the finance industry is not required.
