thecitysecret has an opening for an experienced Java Professional to join a well-established Software Engineering team delivering work for a Tier One Investment bank. This is a great opportunity to be involved in large enterprise level projects whilst having the benefit of working for a small company. This role is based at thecitysecret office in Richmond, North Yorkshire.
The successful candidate will work on a number of challenging projects in the Equity Swap's area. Focus will be on server-side core Java development, using Spring, Message Queue, DB2, Sybase and MongoDB.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Working alongside a development team to design and implement software solutions in Java
- Deploying solutions in a highly distributed Linux plant
- Providing level 3 support
The successful applicant will be working on distributed Java systems on Linux and must be able to demonstrate excellent commercial development skills in core Java.
Previous experience within the finance industry is not required. This is a great opportunity to work and learn more about software development in the finance industry, whilst being based in the North East of England.
