What we do
The company has its origins in being able to provide technology expertise to leading investment banks and hedge funds. We have a ten year track record of working with these institutions and have built a reputation for being able to deliver good software that is tailored for each client.
Our successful business model involves working closely with our customers - contributing both our business knowledge and our depth of knowledge in technology. We approach our projects with a view of solving problems, understanding what the business aims are and leveraging existing technology to maximise the IT budgets. Additionally, the client keeps the intellectual property to the project, ensuring that they maximise their investment and giving them the competitive edge.
In practical terms our projects vary enormously from the short tactical to the multiple man year renovation or new build. The shorter projects are often around pulling data from disparate sources to update applications, databases or to create reports which can be distributed as PDF or accessed through an intranet. In a typical example, a series of compliance reports were needed around the time of the short-selling ban. Some of the required data was in the main trading system but was not in the format that the Compliance Officer needed. This data was extracted and merged with additional information from other sources to generate the reports needed. The larger projects involve complex business processes which deliver a competitive edge to our clients. These projects involve backend processes linking into many in-house and external systems and are supported by sophisticated front-ends.
We specialise in the more complex product space and in the front- and middle-office functions.
More recently we have established a Quality Assurance team which leverages our know-how in building systems. By knowing how the business processes work, we are able to look at systems and know where to find weaknesses and where the logical flow does not work.
